Jo Sarzotti is the author of Mother Desert, winner of the 2011 Katharine Bakeless Nason Prize for Poetry., selected by Carl Phillips, and awarded by Middlebury College and the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. Her poetry has appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Denver Quarterly, and North American Review, among other publications. She lives in New York City and is a professor of Literature and director of Liberal Arts at The Julliard School.
