Israeli poet Agi Mishol featured on the Jim Lehrer NewsHourSenior NewsHour correspondent Jeffrey Brown recently traveled to the Middle East to interview Israeli and Palestinian poets. Agi Mishol, with her translator Lisa Katz, was featured at the PEN Festival in New York, and she read last fall at the Washington DC International Poetry Festival. She was also featured on Minnesota Public Radio during her stay in the Twin Cities last spring, where she read at Hamline University and at the Jewish Community Center in Saint Paul. Agi Mishol’s debut American publication, Look There: New and Selected Poems, was published by Graywolf in January 2006 and has been reviewed in the New York Times Book Review and many other publications. She was the first Israeli poet to win the coveted Yehuda Amichai Prize in 2002. Look There is a Lannan Translation Series Selection.
